Terms of Use
Effective date: 22 September 2026
These terms explain the rules for using the Meikyō app for Android, provided by RICloud. Please read them before you use the app.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, opening or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the app.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the app. If the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for using a service like this one, you must meet that age instead.
3. Entertainment only
Meikyō is for fun. Quiz results are entertainment, and they are not psychological, medical, career, relationship, legal, financial or any other kind of professional advice. Please do not make important decisions based on a quiz result, and speak to a qualified professional when you need real guidance.
4. Your content
The username and profile picture you choose stay on your device. You are responsible for what you choose, and you must not use content that infringes anyone else's rights, including copyright, trademark or privacy rights, and you must not use content that is unlawful or offensive.
Because this content stays on your device, we do not review it, host it or moderate it.
5. Intellectual property
The app, including its quizzes, questions, text, artwork, original illustrated characters, logos and branding, belongs to RICloud and is protected by copyright and other laws. You get a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the app on your own devices.
You may share your own results, including result images the app creates for you, for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, sell, republish or redistribute the app's quizzes, artwork or other content, and you may not use them in another product or service without written permission.
6. Ads
The app contains ads served by third parties, including Google AdMob. We do not control the content of those ads, and we are not responsible for advertisers' products, services, websites or practices. Any dealing you have with an advertiser is between you and that advertiser. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising data is handled.
7. Purchases
Any in-app purchase is processed by Google Play under the Google Play Terms of Service, not by us directly. Refunds follow Google Play's refund policies, so refund requests should be made through Google Play. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
8. Acceptable use
When you use the app, you agree not to:
- reverse engineer, decompile, modify or create derivative works of the app, except where the law expressly allows it
- use automated tools, scripts or modified clients to interact with the app
- interfere with ads or ad delivery, including fraudulent or automated ad clicks and impressions
- attempt to gain XP, levels, badges or streaks by tampering with the app or its stored data
- use the app in a way that breaks the law, or that disrupts the app for other people
We may stop providing the app, or a part of it, if it is abused.
9. Disclaimer
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We do not promise that the app will always be available, that it will be free of errors, or that any result or feature will meet your expectations.
10. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, RICloud is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the app. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim, or USD 25.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
11. Changes
We may update these terms, for example when the app gains new features. The updated version is posted on this page with a new effective date, and continued use of the app after that date means you accept the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Where required by the law of your country of residence, you keep the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
